Design Canada explores what defines a national identity. Is it an anthem, flag, logo or icon? How do these elements shape who we are? In the 60s and 70s, these questions were answered by an innovative group of Canadian designers who used design to unify the nation.
Join us at Cambrian College from 1PM - 4PM to learn the basic fundamentals of photo editing! Learners will learn how to use Pixlr, a free browser based image editing software similar to Photoshop. They will learn all about retouching and superimposing objects into photos, by putting costumes onto animals (digitally, of course!), and creating new worlds through editing different scenes (and selfies)!
Join us September 21st at from 6p.m.-8p.m. for our 5th annual Studio Tours. Participants are to meet at Yallowega Bélanger Salach Architecture, 255 Larch St., to collect their passbooks, and then continue to the participating studios.

3-POINT PERSPECTIVES CONFERENCE (3PP) IS A BIENNIAL CONFERENCE THAT AIMS TO EXPLORE THREE DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES ON ONE THEME.
This year each speaker will present their unique perspective on the theme of "DEVELOPMENT". The goal is to foster innovative thinking within the design community as Greater Sudbury develops and expands its reach.

Join us for our 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 8, 2015 at Cambrian College (room 3503) at 6:00pm. We will be discussing 2015 in retrospect as well as what is upcoming for SDS.
The AGM is a great way for members to become more involved in SDS activities. It provides insight into what we have been doing, what our plans are and the future for the SDS.
