TOOK PLACE MARCH 10TH, 2016
Discussions on design, architecture and the theme of "Development" from three notable perspectives.
Dani Taillefer is a long time art-hobbyist turned graphic designer turned art-professional who is now working on returning to her passion: illustration, painting and graphic novels. Her most recent project, a web-comic called The Dream Argument, is a somewhat dark fantasy that takes place in the City of Greater Sudbury, particularly Sudbury Secondary School and an on-going work-in-progress. She also has a passion for teaching and facilitating art and art projects, and recently spent a year as an Artist in Residence with a local community arts organization, Myths and Mirrors.
Scott is a designer / wannabe programmer from Sudbury, Ontario. Since graduating from Cambrian college he’s been sharpening his skills in the digital design space by working at places like Edenspiekermann, a digital agency in Berlin; Facebook, a pretty popular social network; and most recently InVision, a prototyping tool based out of New York.
Tim has practiced architecture in Northern Ontario for over 20 years. His work includes highly sustainable environments; commercial developments, offices, schools, laboratories, industrial and residential work. His focus is ensuring design solutions create long life projects. Tim’s work with Canada Revenue Agency with Rainbow District School Board have assisted these organizations to manage significant change with respect to their physical infrastructure. Tim has contributed design leadership to community projects including Rotary Park, Laurentian University School of Architecture and Health Sciences North.
