Anonymous Portfolio Review

Michela Langlois

ABOUT THE ANONYMOUS REVIEW

Alright Sudbury Designers, we have something exciting for you! We are hosting our very first portfolio review to kick off the New Year! The twist? This review is completely anonymous. We want to help ensure you can reach all of your design goals this year and sometimes that requires a soft first step before taking that giant leap for human kind and doing something semi-scary without having your name attached is a great first step.

SO HOW DOES THIS WORK?

The Anonymous Review is completely anonymous on both sides of the review process. The designer reviewing the portfolio pieces won’t know who you are, and anyone who submits won’t know who’s reviewing their work. Why? Because getting feedback is an important part of a designers career but accepting feedback can be tough. Use this review as a test run before taking a leap and sending your work off to some awards or job applications or if you’re a student, a scholarship or bursary.

AWESOME, HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?

The Anonymous Review is open to students, recent grads, and professionals alike. Your submission must be a PDF and can be one to two pages depending on the piece. If you’re submitting more than one, each submission must be a separate PDF.

All submissions have to be nameless and must abide by the participation specifications above, or that pieces will not be reviewed.

So, are you ready? Submissions are due by Friday, February 11, 2022.

DesignThinkers 2021 Virtual
November 8–19, 2021
Virtual

It's been a year of flux that has challenged us all—designers included—to re-examine and re-work every aspect of our personal and professional lives. In 2021, DesignThinkers, Canada’s largest annual graphic design conference, is appropriately themed DesignReThinkers. This year's DIY, type-driven branding by Bruce Mau Design signals the urgency of our moment and everyone’s ability to participate in it.

Conference registration grants access to live, recorded and interactive programming; recordings of all sessions for 3 months after the event; access to an interactive platform with other event participants, speakers and panelists and a digital goodie bag.

Join the RGD in November as they offer a forum for delegates to discuss and explore the ways design practice is being re-considered, re-defined and re-formed.
